The Isle of Cats is a competitive card-drafting, cat-placement board game for 1 – 4 players (6 with Late Arrivals expansion). You are citizens of Squall’s End on a rescue mission to The Isle of Cats and must rescue as many cats as possible before the evil Lord Vesh arrives.
Rescue as many cats as possible before Lord Vesh reaches the island in The Isle of Cats. Each player commands a boat and must gather fish, prepare baskets and bring the island's colourful feline residents aboard before the evacuation fleet is forced to leave.
Discovery cards are drafted between players, letting you choose lessons, rescue opportunities, treasures and helpful Oshax. Fish pays for cards and cat rescues, so every round asks whether to invest in a stronger plan or save enough to collect the particular cats your boat still needs.
Rescued cats are represented by distinctive polyomino tiles that must fit into the rooms of your boat. Families of matching colours score together, while rats and incomplete rooms can reduce your result. The box includes the full competitive game, a streamlined family mode and a dedicated solo mode, giving the same spatial puzzle several ways to reach the table.
