Smash It is a fast word and reflex party game where players race to find a valid word linked to the image on the card. A correct answer is not enough on its own, because players also need to hit the card before someone else does.
Special rule icons change the type of answer required, such as using a person name, second letter, rhyme, background colour or previous card. Wrong answers, repeated words or slow reactions create penalty cards, and the lowest penalty total wins.
- Image Letter Race: Shout a word starting with the same letter as the image, then tap the card first
- Rule Icon Variants: Person, second letter, rhyme, colour and previous-card rules alter the required answer
- Penalty Card Pressure: Slow reactions, repeated words and wrong answers give penalty cards
- Seven Penalty Ending: The game ends when a player reaches seven penalties, rewarding accuracy as well as speed
