1920 Nest of Eagles Board Game

1920: Nest of Eagles is an exciting wargame for two players (with a three-player variant) simulating the largest military operations of the Polish-Soviet War. It’s an intermediate complexity, hex-and-counter strategic-level game featuring innovative concepts of lines of friction (instead of zones of control), reaction movement, and morale advantage, all crafted to bring about the unique strategic challenges facing both commanders in three different theatres of war. Both players also have access to numerous unique and special units and deal with the torn loyalties of the Ukrainians, fighting on both sides of the front.

Command the largest operations of the Polish Soviet War in 1920 Nest of Eagles. Polish and Soviet armies manoeuvre across a broad front from Kyiv and Smolensk to Warsaw and Cracow, racing to break the enemy before the campaign reaches its decisive conclusion.

This strategic hex and counter wargame replaces conventional zones of control with lines of friction and combines them with reaction movement and morale advantage. Cavalry raids, special units and the divided loyalties of Ukrainian forces create a fluid contest across three different theatres of war.

The game is designed primarily for two players and also includes a three player variant. Four scenario sheets support different situations on the mounted map, while player aids and an intermediate level rules system help commanders manage the wars wide front and rapid operational tempo.
