Every episode has its own map tiles, discovery cards, Mythos deck and objectives, allowing the core game’s Elder Ones to appear in new combinations. The larger investigator roster adds new abilities and team roles, giving players more freedom when preparing for each dangerous mission.

The modular episode system preserves the fast moving cooperative action of the original game while greatly expanding its variety. New enemies and unexpected rules ensure that even experienced investigators must adapt before they can disrupt the ritual and confront the Elder One.
