Dominion Intrigue Second Edition Card Game Expansion

The first expansion for Dominion, new and improved to fit the second edition. Replaces six Kingdom cards from the first edition and includes one further addition, plus minor changes to improve the experience. Unlike the first-edition Intrigue box, this is not a standalone product and requires the base game to play.

Add secret plots, difficult choices and politically useful underlings to Dominion with the second edition of Intrigue. This expansion supplies 26 Kingdom card types centred on flexible effects, interactive attacks and Victory cards that remain useful during play. Players can introduce selected Intrigue piles into a Dominion Kingdom or combine the entire card pool with other expansions.

Many cards present a choice when played, letting a deck adapt to the current situation rather than follow a single fixed plan. Cards such as Nobles, Mill, Duke and Harem blur the boundary between scoring and deck operation, while Masquerade, Swindler and Torturer create direct interaction. The result rewards careful timing, hand management and awareness of the strategies developing around the table.

This second edition replaces six Kingdom cards from the original release and adds another replacement card, while revising wording and the rulebook. Unlike the first edition of Intrigue, it does not contain the Basic Treasure, Victory and Curse cards needed to play. A Dominion base game or a separate Dominion Base Cards set must therefore supply those shared components.

This is an expansion and not a standalone game. A copy of Dominion or a Dominion Base Cards set is required to play.
