Ezra and Nehemiah Ancient Jerusalem Strategy Board Game

Ancient Jerusalem Awaits! Ezra and Nehemiah is a thematic strategy game for 1-4 players, set in ancient Jerusalem. Players will be building the temple and city walls, and teaching the Torah to returning exiles. Players may also seek to develop their land, travel to settlements outside the city walls, or stoke the altar's fire to keep it burning day and night.

Return to ancient Jerusalem and help restore a city and its community in Ezra and Nehemiah. Players lead groups of returning exiles who rebuild the temple and city walls, teach the Torah and develop the surrounding land while competing to make the greatest contribution to the renewed settlement.

The game unfolds over three weeks, with six working days followed by a Sabbath in each round. Cards drive the available actions, while workers and resources are committed to construction, worship, teaching and the practical work of establishing settlements. The shared board creates regular interaction as players contribute to common projects and compete for valuable positions.

Personal boards and variable setup give each player room to shape a different plan. Progress can come through rebuilding, advancing influence, tending the altar fire or developing the land, but the limited time and interconnected systems reward players who coordinate their cards, workers and resources with care.
