Command a growing pirate crew and compete for riches across a dangerous archipelago in Fortunes of Scoundrel Bay. Captains earn gold by conquering harbours, finding hideouts, delivering crates, digging up treasure and building a reputation through encounters with monsters.

Every card in the eighty four card crew deck can support three different actions: recruiting, sailing and shooting a monster, or invading. You cannot repeat the action taken on your previous turn, so building the right crew means balancing immediate movement with stronger abilities that become available as your pirates develop.

Five reefs control the length of the voyage, triggering events and forcing every captain to feed their crew. Racing towards the final reef can shorten the game, but taking more time to recruit, compete for island majorities and win blind bids may produce a stronger engine and a larger fortune when the journey ends.
