In the Shadows Resistance in France Board Game

Enter the clandestine struggle between the French Resistance and the occupying forces from January 1943 to June 1944 in In the Shadows. One side works to reduce Occupation authority and recruit support, while the other tries to control resources and suppress the developing movement.

Event cards and actions are tied to three suits that influence their cost and effectiveness. Because useful networks may be concentrated in one region while an operation must occur elsewhere, players must decide how to allocate limited local support across recruitment, sabotage and countermeasures.

The competitive game presents an asymmetric contest between Resistance and Occupation forces. A separate narrative solitaire mode places one player in the role of a Resistance leader facing an automated Occupation, with different personas and events shaping the solo campaign.
