Kavango Board Game

Transform a Southern African landscape into a thriving nature reserve in Kavango. Players become conservation experts who rewild their own habitats, research ecological needs and create protected spaces capable of supporting vulnerable and endangered species.

Across three rounds of simultaneous card drafting, players select species and decide whether their developing reserve can meet each animals requirements. Research tasks provide funding, protection boards improve long term capacity and conservation experts introduce specialised abilities that shape each reserve differently.

The game draws on the designers conservation experience in Botswana and represents the biodiversity of the Kavango Zambezi region through 160 species cards and multiple landscape boards. Players must balance ecological connections, funding, protection and scoring goals while building the most successful reserve.
