Its playing area is approximately fifty per cent larger than the standard Mega Empires The West board, creating more room to place and manage the game's many civilisation components. The foldable neoprene construction combines a smooth printed surface with convenient storage in the supplied sturdy package.

The mat can be used by itself with Mega Empires The West or joined to the corresponding mat for the other region to create a much larger combined scenario. Manufacturing tolerances can leave a border difference of several millimetres where the two large neoprene mats meet.

This is an accessory and is not a standalone game. A copy of Mega Empires The West is required to play; game pieces and the matching mat for the other region are not included.
