Bring the industrial revolution to Australia with a new double sided map for Nucleum. The continent’s vast distances, coastal cities and valuable uranium deposits create different logistical challenges from the original Saxony board.
Shipping lanes provide an alternative to railways, allowing boats to carry resources between distant coastal regions and reach Tasmania. Players can also construct personal Coal Mines, reducing their reliance on imported coal as their industries expand.
An optional expert variant introduces bidding for Experiment Boards, while new contracts, Action Tiles and setup cards adapt the core game to the Australian map. The Nucleum base game is required to play.
- Boats connect coastal cities: Shipping Tiles and Boats allow resources to move across long sea routes that cannot be served efficiently by rail
- Personal Coal Mines: Construct Coal Mine Tiles to establish a private supply instead of depending entirely on imported fuel
- Tasmania offers a remote objective: Reach Hobart by sea to access the Experimental Power Plant located on the island
- Experiment Boards can be auctioned: The expert setup variant replaces standard assignment with competitive bidding
- Australia changes network planning: Long distances and regional restrictions make compact Saxony strategies less effective
- New contracts support shipping: Eleven Contract Tiles introduce objectives designed around the map’s transport and resource systems
