Describe an ordinary word using a combination of attributes that may seem completely unrelated. The leader evaluates a secret answer against unusual qualities such as romantic or problematic, wearable or helpful, and entertaining or washable, positioning disks on the explanation tablet to show how closely each description applies.

The remaining players interpret these indirect clues and vote for the word they believe the leader is describing. Correct answers earn points, but voting quickly is also important because earlier successful guesses receive the greater rewards. Players score for both giving understandable clues and interpreting the associations created by others.

Perfect Mismatch can be played competitively or as a cooperative challenge. In cooperative play, everyone contributes towards a shared score while deciding whether to discuss possible answers or submit individual votes.
