Brass Birmingham Board Game

Build an industrial empire in the West Midlands during the Industrial Revolution in Brass Birmingham. Players establish canals and railways, develop industries and compete to meet the changing demand for coal, iron, manufactured goods, pottery and beer between 1770 and 1870.

Cards are used to construct industries and network links across the map, while shared resources create a tightly connected economy in which one player may benefit from another player’s development. The canal era rewards early positioning before much of the network is cleared and rebuilt for the rail era.

Loans, income, turn order and access to beer all shape when an ambitious expansion becomes profitable. Because industries and resources are closely connected, players must watch the entire market, anticipate competing plans and recognise when helping a rival will create an even greater opportunity for their own network.
