The team decides where to investigate, reads the newspapers and consults the London map and directory as the evidence develops. Progress depends on careful discussion rather than luck: names, dates, addresses and seemingly minor details can connect one lead to another or expose a contradiction in a suspects story.

These cases use a progress tracking system that gives the Baker Street Irregulars a meaningful role throughout every investigation. When the group is ready, it answers the final questions and compares its findings with Sherlocks solution. The full set can be played on its own and does not require another Consulting Detective box.
