Command an American fleet submarine in the Pacific theatre of the Second World War with Silent Victory Third Printing. This solitaire tactical game follows your submarine, commander and crew through dangerous patrols conducted between 1941 and 1945.

Seven submarine classes are represented, with assignments taking you from the Philippines and Java Sea to Midway, the Marianas, China Sea and waters near Japan. Each encounter requires decisions about closing range, selecting targets, firing torpedoes and escaping escort vessels or aircraft.

More than 700 named targets create a strong historical narrative, while damage and crew status remain important throughout each patrol. Successful commanders can improve their crew, earn decorations and transfer to newer submarines, but every additional attack risks ending the campaign beneath the Pacific.
