Players begin with a small personal deck representing their armada, then use Trade to acquire more powerful ships and bases from the central market. Combat is used to attack opponents and reduce their Authority, while faction abilities reward players for building clever combinations across Starfleet, Klingon, Romulan and Dominion cards.

This core set includes everything needed to play, with head to head games for 2 players and multiplayer modes for up to 4 players. It is also fully compatible with other Star Realms products, making it useful as both a complete standalone game and a Star Trek themed entry point into the wider Star Realms system.
