During the campaign, one player commands the Galactic Empire while the others develop individual Rebel heroes across linked missions. Experience, equipment and story decisions shape later encounters, while modular map tiles, custom dice and tactical positioning determine the outcome of every firefight.

The skirmish rules let two players build strike teams and compete over scenario objectives using the same figures, cards and terrain. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader figure packs are included alongside the core components, adding their sculpted miniatures and extra missions to the collection.
