A long time ago at the Japanese Imperial court, the Chinese Emperor offered a giant panda bear as a symbol of peace to the Japanese Emperor. Since then, the Japanese Emperor has entrusted his court members (the players) with the difficult task of caring for the animal by tending to his bamboo garden.

Care for the Japanese Emperors giant panda and cultivate a colourful bamboo garden in Takenoko Oyako Eco. This complete standalone edition brings the original Takenoko base game and the Chibis expansion together in one eco friendly package for a broader family strategy experience.

Players place garden plots, extend irrigation channels and use the Imperial gardener to grow green, yellow and pink bamboo. The hungry panda moves through the garden eating shoots, so every turn involves balancing the needs of the landscape with the objective cards that determine how points are scored.

The included Chibis content introduces the female panda, baby pandas, additional plots and extra objectives. Weather die effects provide helpful changes from turn to turn, while the combined content gives new and returning players more ways to shape the garden and complete the Emperors requests.
