Accelerate the opening generations of Terraforming Mars with Prelude, an expansion that gives every corporation a more developed and strategically focused starting position. During setup, players choose Prelude cards that immediately provide production increases, resources, cards, tiles or Terraform Rating.

These early benefits help define each corporations direction before the first generation begins. One player might start with stronger energy production, while another gains an ocean tile, additional cards or the foundations of a plant based engine.

Prelude also adds five corporations and seven project cards themed around the first stages of settling and transforming Mars. It can be combined with any other Terraforming Mars expansion or variant. The Terraforming Mars base game is required to play.
