Link leads the gold Hero army as its King, joined by Zelda as Queen, Impa as Bishops, Epona as Knights, Darunia as Rooks and Navi as Pawns. Across the board, Ganondorf commands the black Villain army with Twinrova, Iron Knuckle, Phantom, Armos and Deku Scrubs filling the opposing ranks.
Every piece still moves according to standard chess rules, so experienced players can begin immediately while newcomers can learn from the included instructions.
