Pack a journal and trek through the American wilderness of the 1930s in Trail Story America. Each explorer moves through a rural landscape filled with helpful strangers, dangerous wildlife, abandoned structures and hints of the supernatural. Every encounter can become part of the story that will define the journey.

Players travel to new locations, collect story cards and establish Havens across the land. Encounters range from a hungry cougar and lost lumberjack to an ancient burial ground or fog covered swamp, and players must decide how to interact with each discovery. Successful experiences bring new skills, memories and inspiration that can shape later choices.

Memories and inspiration are used to record story cards in a personal journal, converting the experiences of the expedition into points. Building Havens provides another route towards victory, so explorers must balance movement, development and the stories they choose to preserve. The player with the most points has created the most compelling account when the adventure ends.
