The year is 1947 and you are a member of the thriving movie-making industry of Hollywood. However, it is suspected that there are communists hiding among your small production studio sneaking “un-patriotic” messages into your movies! Will you be able to create enough movie masterpieces before your studio is shut down? Or will you be suspected yourself and banned from the industry?
- Let's Make A Movie: Hollywood 1947 is a social deduction and light strategy game for 1-9 players that simulates the tense atmosphere of the movie industry during the communist witch-hunt of the 1940s.
- Lights, Camera, Action!: Players are set in teams of either Patriots, Communists, or The Rising Star, and take on their own unique job that affects the movies that get made each round.
- The Next Big Hit: The game is played over several rounds, with players secretly adding cards to the movie in an attempt to sway it towards their side. The team with the majority of revealed cards at the end of the round wins.
- Unravel The Mystery: Players must be careful to keep their cards and loyalty secret. Hollywood 1947 is a game of deception and deduction. The first team to win 4 rounds wins the game, while the Rising Star aims to extend the game to 7 rounds.
- Includes: The game includes components such as 15 genre posters, 9 film strips, 9 custom star dice, 4 sculpted tokens, 6 propaganda cards, 9 job cards, and 9 loyalty cards, all housed in a book box.
